An elegiac and a narrative-heavy tale where under your fingertips lie multiple pathways that converge into an ultimatum, that is, the destination of the eponymous continent.

The tale is told from different perspectives of characters, each sharing a piece of the puzzle that is Ophiuchus. Who is he exactly? From whence did he come from and what are the secrets he is keeping from you, his beloved child?

Summary:

Nations envisage you as a notorious henchman serving a tyrant.

You. The Serpent: executor of wills at the behest of the sovereign of Empyrenea, the man named after the thirteenth Zodiac, your Father. With sharp fangs and finesse, you suppress rebellions sizzling in the nation-states, sprouting like untamed weeds

Year 221, New Age. An epoch that has crawled out the Age of Magic, tests you— you have suffered a lot, and the worst part is, you can’t remember anything in the past. Just fragments. And getting caught by an elite force tasked with capturing you doesn’t alleviate your situation in the slightest. They force you into assimilation within the territories who see you as a potential ally. Truly, you must become the snake hidden in the grass.

Your journey into the inferior realms has you unraveling the threads of information people have about your Father, Ophiuchus, as frayed and scant the material is.

You think you know him the best. But the truth is: you have the least information on him out of everyone.

When i choose not to pry after the first poem, we can't keep going. It's supposed to be that way?

Hello! Thanks for notifying me this. It completely escaped my attention to put in a section there. I'll soon update the game with a continuation from this choice.

Ahh you got the escaped branch from Chapter 1! I hope you enjoyed that, as it is more linear and narrative heavy as opposed to the branch where you don't manage to escape.

    I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I am glad that you like my world-building. I focus a lot on that and really try to immerse my readers into the setting. And I'm glad you like my characters, too! I was thinking I had to tone it down as most of them can be... hard on the MC, who is an extension of the player.

Also thank you for the screenshot. This is simply a formatting problem and I will get around to rectifying it.

I keep getting errors in some parts of the story

Error: macro <<center>> does not exist

    <<center>>
I get this one twice at the end of chapter 2. when I play cards with Noose I get an error, I'll try and find some more to help you out and I love the new update!!
Error: <<if>>: bad conditional expression in <<elseif>> clause (#7): missing ) after argument list</elseif></if>

Hey! Thanks for the comment and error-reporting. One more thing, do you mind if you can post a screenshot of where you found the errors, this so I have easier time searching for it.

If not, what cards did you pick in Noose's game that led you to the error? Thank you!

    (1 edit)

I don't mind I can't take a screen shot with my computer it doesn't work,  I picked the very back and the middle cards

Acknowledged! Will try to fix this problem. Again, thanks!

I really love this I can't wait for more!

    This good read

Thank you for the comment! Glad you liked it.

I had an absolute blast reading through this, your writing is absolutely amazing. I was hooked just from the first few sentences. Unfortunately I ran into a small error where I couldn't proceed through the card game scene with Noose. When they say "Think it is high time we start." it only gives an error notif, and stops there. Regardless, still had a fun time, keep up the great work!

Hello giltedarcanum! Thank you thank you thank you for the lovely comment.

I have ran through the card scene on my end and didn't encounter the error. If possible, can you send a screenshot to my devblog or my email: tfoe.troubleshooting@gmail.com?

I don't know if there is a way to privately message game devs here, but I would prefer that then posting the screenshot here to refrain any spoiling of the plot. If either of the options are not suitable for you, then you may post screenshots here. However, it will be deleted afterwards.

Again, thank you so much for your message. I really appreciate it. Please do not hesitate to report anymore mistakes you've noticed when playing the game.

Have a wonderful day and Salaam,

    Riyadth

liked playing keep up the good wor

    Thanks! Glad you liked it.
